Anyone who’s visiting the O2 Arena in London for a sporting event or gig is sure to find themselves enjoying the experience. The new state of the art venue has much to recommend it for anyone hoping to enjoy some large scale entertainment, and its breathtaking proportions mean that it’s already played host to some of the world’s biggest pop stars and sporting heroes.
The O2 Arena is located in the South East of London and is the largest entertainment complex on the Greenwhich peninsula. With a top capacity of 23,000, you can rest assured that it’s no small-fry! Instead, the arena is among the largest indoor venue in the whole of Europe. So far, the O2 has opened its doors to stars such as Justin Timberlake, Scissor Sisters, Prince, The Rolling Stones and Elton John and is sure to welcome many more in years to come.
What’s more, the venue was part of a successful bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games, so basketball and gymnastic fans are sure to spending a little time in the arena when the Games roll around.
