Audio Problem On Dell Studio 15 Through HDMI
Monday, September 14th, 2009While connecting Dell Studio 15 with Vista installed to 42″ HP LCD via HDMI, someone is able adjusting video settings well but not the sound. He’s already try to fix it by configured IDT audio under the Control Panel and also checked TV’s audio settings, seems like nothing to be wrong.
To resolve audio problem on Dell Studio 15 through HDMI, basically you need to check the settings of the TV, cable, and the laptop. Here we will try to resolve it with assumption the caused of this audio problem is failed audio setting in Dell Studio 15 laptop. Then you can try this following:
Go to control panel and choose sound. There you need to see if there’s anything listed for digital audio HDMI or something to that effect. If it is select as default this will send all sound through your HDMI, if its not there means your Dell Studio 15 does not have audio capabilities for the HDMI output. One more thing, you need also to be sure the HDMI cable is plugged in before you open the program to start the video.
